The Source of Justice

“But it is certain that giving this a second thought will move you to a place of clarity – of the paybacks of being in Him.”

Everybody wants justice, because that is how we were made. Believe me, I do not pay attention to the news. In the world today, there has been so much sadness and injustice. Almost the only thing that keeps me believing that things will work out is my friend, my God, my Jesus. I know that He was tempted in every way. The same temptations that I have been through or you have been through. He knows what human struggles are; disappointments, sadness and tiredness. He also understands loss.

At the end of the day, as it were, if you believe, He is able to lift your spirit, to see joy and new morning, as it says, then your hope is real. Now hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts, by the Holy Spirit. Ultimately our hope comes because our destiny in Jesus is perfect and eternal. Our hope is based on each day, now and in the life to come, holding great things.

If you have not thought about this before, please sit down in the quiet for five minutes. Maybe shut your eyes, and say a prayer. God speaks in different ways. But you might need to spend some time with Jesus in meditation or dedicate some of your thoughts to be a friend to God.

As I’ve said, Jesus is our example of Justice. He won our justice by His life and death, even by His resurrection. And in Him our lives have purpose. Even if learning that purpose is not completely immediate for some. But it is certain that giving this a second thought will move you to a place of clarity – of the paybacks of being in Him and enjoying this eternal justice and peace in Jesus Christ.

“Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.” (James 1:17). He gives us good gifts. We have the potential for things to be put right that are wrong through prayer. And we have an ultimate destiny with God, a destiny where every little thing will make sense and feel like justice and brings happiness.
