Clues to Making Decisions

From the Series: Power of Decision Making

Some  of us are so scared of making mistakes, that we believe if we hide away from making  decisions, it will go away. Many times, making no decision is no decision. However, decisions are more than what we say, but more of  what we do.

The popular story of the prodigal son is an amazing one told by our Lord Jesus Christ. The greatest power that has been given to mankind is the power to make decisions. We have the power to  make friends or enemies, choose good or evil, obey or disobey, to  change our ways or  to remain at the same level,  to handle our finances or ignore them, build or terminate our relationships,  to live or die, etc!  There is so much to learn from the story and here are some of the key lessons that I picked from the story:

Core Factors to Making Decisions

  1. Decisions  are so powerful that they determine our destiny and destination in life.

  2. Every decision  we make does have positive or negative impact on us.
  3. The quality of our decision making is determined by the quality of the information we are exposed to.
  4. It does not matter where our previous  negative decision may have  led us, we can still make a positive one  that will take us from the place of mess into the place of message.
  5. We should always connect with our heavenly father before making major decisions, He knows what’s best for us.
  6. No matter where we find ourselves due to the bad decision we made, God’s love and grace have the capacity to transform our mistakes into fortune if we are positive.

 Phobia for Decision Making

We are so impacted by our  decision making that many have developed a  fear of making decisions so they won’t  make mistakes. Some  of us are so scared of making mistakes, that we believe if we hide away from making  decisions, it will go away. Many times, making no decision is no decision. However, decisions are more than what we say, but more of  what we do.

Note:

Could  you please comment on what you  learnt from this article? We need you to participate in this series, as we all make decisions every day, and it will be great to hear your view. Please drop your comment.
