The Epistle of Paul to the Colossians is one of the greatest Christological passages of the New Testament books. It talks about the Lord’s essence, pre-existence and His creative capacity. This is the time the church desperately needs the message written to the Colossians.

So many people are trying to gather information in order to manufacture their own identity of Jesus, and it does not matter to them what the truth of the scripture is. A lot of arguments have been put forward to dethrone him and described Jesus as just one of the greatest religious authorities and personalities in history. In all of these, what has been prevalent is the false teachings of the antichrists to enthrone the false belief over the truth.

Many false teachings of the antichrists are all over the place about the divine nature of Jesus. Some say Jesus did not come in flesh and He only came as a spirit. Some say He is just another celebrity. Some say he is just a political figure who came to promulgate his own political philosophy. John wrote; “Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God: And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world” (1 John 4:2-3).

The antichrists are already amongst the church today. There is a bulk of doctrines of the antichrists on the pulpit and a lot of believers have been led astray. As admonished by Paul in Acts 20:29; “For I know this, that after my departing shall grievous wolves enter in among you, not sparing the flock”. Also, Paul gave the same warning to the church in 2 Corinthians 11:3 “For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ”. The same warning in 2 Corinthians 11:4; “For if he that cometh preacheth another Jesus, whom we have not preached, or if ye receive another spirit, which ye have not received, or another gospel, which ye have not accepted, ye might well bear with him”.

In this century, there is need to be conscious of this truth because the antichrists now have a significant number of followers on the social media platforms and they have capacity to form opinions and their opinions have become doctrines, by which some believers are patterning their lives.

The antichrists did preach against the divinity of Jesus. They are false teachers of fake doctrines against the doctrine of Jesus. They are part of the church organisation, but not part of the church organism. Those who are part of the church organisation are Sunday Christians with a very shallow understanding of the things of God. They attend church on Sundays, and Monday to Saturday, they do not have anything to do with God, neither do they have anything to do with their fellow Christians. Those that are part of the church organism are those Christians who are integrated into the church and really serving God and also live a lifestyle of Jesus, zealous Christians, true worshipers, responding and yielding to His commands. The fact that a church is highly anointed does not rule out the presence of antichrists. Even in the churches that were planted by Paul the apostle, there were fornicators and those that speak heresy. But the presence of the Holy Spirit is there to teach every believer the ways to go and act according to the will of the Father.

God existed before the beginning of the world, and Jesus is the Son of God who left His glory and came to the earth to save mankind from the tribulations that is to come. He is the Lord and the Lord of all.
