Now that our world is plagued with chaos and a significant number of tragedies which have now created a very heavy sense of insecurity, I began to ruminate on a sort of resort, even if it would only last for a moment, but the question is; is there anything like that?

A lot of believers believe the end has come, and some do not even want their pastors to preach on any episode of end time from the book of Revelation in the Bible. All that matters to some is to just tag along, enjoying what every day has to offer, even if in the evening after the day’s activities, they are alone on their sofa, they are overwhelmed with thoughts of fear of the unknown, anxiety, loneliness, depression and a sense of no hope and a future.

However, in the midst of all these, there is a solution, and the solution is living in the light; walking in the light, and trusting in the light, and this will certainly bring us into a place of peace and mental stability by the Spirit. The Psalmist wrote Psalms 119:105; “Your word is a lamp to my feet And a light to my path”. According to some scientific experiments and the psychology of light, it has been discovered that light creates more than just visual effects but has some biological and psychological effects that can impact the health and well-being of every human.

Light can upset or enhance human sleeping patterns, and also has a great impact in our general well-being. Light plays a significant amount of role in human emotions; decreases depression and anxiety, and also has the potential to improve people’s mood, creativity, and cognitive (Mental, Intellectual) performance.

It is therefore a choice for every believer to make; choose the word and begin to enjoy the light of God in this dark world. Believing in Jesus Christ and following Him through His word is the only valid entrance into the light, which brings peace, fulfillment, security, and stable mental health even amid a chaotic world. John wrote; “In Him was life, and the life was the light of men” (John 1:4). In Jesus, there is life and this life brings light into the world of the believer who is open to willingly receive the word (Jesus) as the Spirit gives.

This process can only be smooth when the believer has a teachable and simple heart that the Holy Spirit can speak into. The Psalmist also wrote; “The entrance of Your words gives light; It gives understanding to the simple” (Psalms 119:130). As much as light is a major prerequisite for the believer to live in dominion in the kingdom, the believer must have a teachable heart, meek and a gentle spirit. Believing that Jesus is the Word, allowing the entrance of the Word, and dwelling in the Word will automatically launch such believers into dominion over emotions, negative feelings, anxieties, depression, a sense of failure, a victim mentality .etc.
