You have been created with a purpose…
As we are living in a very creative world, it’s only intelligent and smart to ask how the world came to be. Is best to have the question of how the DNA is so complicated? How was it designed? And not only โhowโ but who did all of that? When we ask questions in good faith and we trust answers from the divine source, we are in a better place. The same unseen hand crafted the world and put these significant structures, the foundations of the Earth, in place. The hand of God and His signature are on all creation, including every man and woman living on the planet earth.
Psalms 94:8-13 NKJV
[8] Understand, you senseless among the people; And you fools, when will you be wise? [9] He who planted the ear, shall He not hear? He who formed the eye, shall He not see? [10] He who instructs the nations, shall He not correct, He who teaches man knowledge? [11] The Lord knows the thoughts of man, That they are futile. [12] Blessed is the man whom You instruct, O Lord, And teach out of Your law, [13] That You may give him rest from the days of adversity, Until the pit is dug for the wicked.
Many arguments and statements have been made about the existence of God without asking questions about how the world came into being. Who created the animals? How did man come to be? Who created the beautiful flowers, plants, hills and all these wonderful landscapes across the planet earth?
It is only the wise that will ask this question, as David wrote in verse 8 of Psalm 94 โyou senseless among the people and you fools when we will be wise?โ This is a question that we should ask because the world did not just create itself. There was an unseen hand that crafted the entire world, including man, according to the record of creation in Genesis. God is behind all of this creation, and He was intentional when He created everything, including man, which means every creation by the hand of God was created with and for a purpose.
Our God is a God of purpose. He wants to be a channel through which we receive wisdom; through which we have peace; and through which we work in fulfilment and purpose, but the first stage is to understand Him and that He exists. God created man in His own image so that we can represent Him as ambassadors on Earth. He lives in heaven, but he came down through His Son to live with us, and in us so that we can be instructed, so that we can gain understanding through our communion with Him.
The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of peace, counsel, guidance and knowledge. He teaches man, and He wants to help us navigate around the challenges of life. And it says in verse 12; โblessed is the man who you instruct because you teach them your laws and that helps them to have rest in the day of challenges and adversityโ. So every human must come to the understanding that God wants to build a relationship to help us, instruct us, and guide us. The purpose of this relationship is to give us rest in this world, even during seasons of adversities and challenges.
But it must start with Jesus! Saying yes to Jesus and accepting Him as Lord and Saviour will automatically open a door for us to begin to see intelligently with our spiritual eyes, and then we are no longer called fools and senseless, just like David described some people in Psalm 94 verse 8. Our relationship with Jesus opens our eyes to see the depth of God’s love and the grace made available to us through our faith in the Son. The question is, do we have a relationship with Jesus today, and how is the journey with Him?
โ10 He was in the world, and the world was made through Him, and the world did not know Him. 11 He came to His own, and His own did not receive Him. 12 But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name: 13 who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.โ (John 1:10-13).
