So long as you build on the rock of My word, so long as you build upon the foundation of the gospel, you may be sure that you will finish well. To many, it will seem a day of small things, but it is not the opinion of man that counts. My all seeing eyes are upon you.

On 6th December 2019, four gigantic cooling towers at Ironbridge were demolished. Hundreds turned out to see these colossal towers which have dominated the landscape for 50 years come crashing down. Carefully controlled explosion meant that all four collapsed in 10 seconds!  Of course there have been months of preparation, and of course there will be a clear up operation that will last a long while.  But those 10 seconds were amazing to watch. Most of us enjoy a good demolition! Faith can move mountains.

We were meditating on Zechariah 4:6-10

So he said to me, “This is the word of the Lord to Zerubbabel: ‘Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit,’ says the Lord Almighty.

7 “What are you, mighty mountain? Before Zerubbabel you will become level ground. Then he will bring out the capstone to shouts of ‘God bless it! God bless it!’”

8 Then the word of the Lord came to me: 9 “The hands of Zerubbabel have laid the foundation of this temple; his hands will also complete it. Then you will know that the Lord Almighty has sent me to you.

10 “Who dares despise the day of small things, since the seven eyes of the Lord that range throughout the earth will rejoice when they see the chosen capstone in the hand of Zerubbabel?”

And we felt the Lord was saying:-

It is all by My Spirit. I choose this one and that one. I take that which is weak and by the breath of My Spirit I cause My will to be performed. What I cause you to begin, I cause you to complete by My word and by My Spirit, so that from beginning to end it is all of Me, all of My Spirit and all of My spoken Word.

Run after, and run with My Spirit, and you will see what I will do even with that which seems weak, for My breath is so powerful and My word shall stand throughout eternity.

Never despise that which seems and appears small. For that which is small, by the breath of My Spirit can become great and overtake and overthrow that which seems to be so large.

Run after, and run with My Spirit, and you will see what I will do even with that which seems weak, for My breath is so powerful and My word shall stand throughout eternity.

Pray that My Spirit should lead you on level ground. Know that often My enemy will raise what seems to be a mountain. But I can overcome any obstacle that seeks to oppose My way in your life. My grace will always be sufficient for you.

Remember that My grace is sufficient for you. My strength is made perfect in weakness. It is the meek who will finally inherit the earth.

Strength Made Perfect in Weakness

So long as you build on the rock of My word, so long as you build upon the foundation of the gospel, you may be sure that you will finish well. To many, it will seem a day of small things, but it is not the opinion of man that counts. My all seeing eyes are upon you.

When they look upon the work they rejoice. Be sure that a life lived in faith brings rejoicing to My heart. And what is there to regret? If I am honoured in your life and example, then all is as it should be. Remember that My grace is sufficient for you. My strength is made perfect in weakness. It is the meek who will finally inherit the earth.
