Covid-19 Exclusive!
When troubles arise it is good to call to mind My great love for My people and My endless compassion. See I have laid before you life and death, and I have counselled you to choose life. Not life that is bounded and limited by worldly understanding, but life which is eternal and continues into heaven itself. It is life which is forever, and it is life which is abundant and fulfilling. For I came to bring life to mortal men and women.
When Margaret and I were children, the dentist was a man with the name of Mr Screech. We tell the truth!
When we lived in Wimbledon our dentist had a sampler in his waiting room, it had been embroidered with the words “His compassions they fail not.” I fear that the sampler was more cynical than sincere – the dentist was a young man.
As we write these words, the Covid-19 crisis is not yet at its height but already the nations are reeling under its impact. None of us know for sure what lies ahead and
the precious words of Holy Scripture which we have loved throughout many years, become the very life and light of God to us.
We were meditating on the passage from which the words of the sampler were taken. It is found in Lamentations 3:21.
“Yet this I call to mind, and therefore I have hope: because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed, for His compassion never fail. They are new every morning, great is your faithfulness.” And we felt that the Lord was saying:-
My faithfulness: A Rock of Certainty

Every morning My compassion and kindness are new and detailed and varied to meet each persons need. In times of fear I call upon you to have faith in the living God who will never leave you nor forsake you.
This truth is like the bunch of grapes the spies carried between them on a pole from the promised land. It is full of refreshment and nourishment. For indeed My compassion is unfailing, My faithfulness is a rock of certainty. The believer who has My presence with him, is never alone and can find comfort, for I am his portion. Each new dawn is a reminder that the resurrection day will come. Darkness will never be the conclusion of everything. For I am light and in Me is no darkness at all. So bring these familiar words to your heart again and again for they are precious. Learn to seek Me, to find your hope in Me, to wait for Me. Teach your soul to be patient and not only to wait, but to do so in quietness and confidence. Enjoy My love, and learn the deeper truth that I also enjoy your love. I am precious to you, and you are also precious to Me. I never leave nor forsake My own dear ones.

Let each new day be a fresh spring time for you, for My presence is better than sunshine and My comfort will enfold you as you worship and adore me. I am always with you, and watch over you in love. Remember that the future is bright with My promises, and that eternity is yours. For he that lives and believes in Me shall never die.
