Today I am feeling sad
I hear that still small voice inside me, saying,
“My child I am here to comfort you”
But I ignore the voice,
I say, “Chocolate will calm me down”
Today I am having a financial crisis
I hear that still small voice inside me saying,
“My child I am here – all I have is yours”
But I ignore the voice,
I’m too busy thinking “what can I do?”
Today I am sick
I hear that still small voice inside me saying
“My child I am your healer”
But I ignore the voice
I want to know what my doctor thinks
Today I am feeling lonely
I hear that still small voice inside me saying
“My child, I am here, come and talk to me”
I ignore the voice
I just need more friends
Today I am carrying a heavy burden
I hear that still small voice inside me saying
“My child come to me and let me take your load from you”
I ignore the voice
I choose to carry it myself
Today I am feeling so sorry
I have made mistakes – I have done things my way
I have looked to others for help instead of my Lord
I hear that still small voice deep within me saying,
“My child I love you and have forgiven you”
Today I listen to the voice
With tears rolling from my eyes
I am saying, “I am sorry Lord “
Thank you for being my COMFORTER
Thank you for being my PROVIDER
Thank you for being my HEALER
Thank you for being my FRIEND
Thank you for being my DELIVERER
Thank you for being my SAVIOUR
